David Lohrey’s Comments

These poems fell into my lap. Luckily, I had the sense to jot them down. I write in the morning on the way to class. Most of what fills my mind disappears, but these stayed. A line appears and then like a brick wall the structure either holds or not. These days, dark thoughts prevail. I feel quite jolly, but I recognize that if these poems are to be believed, all is not well.
