The poems apearing
here in FRiGG are from The Apple in the Monkey Tree. The
manuscript illuminates the assimilation of science and
Eastern culture into Classical and Judeo-Christian mythology. It assumes
that each Western man and woman is a “monkey in the apple tree”:
Darwin’s monkey in Adam & Eve’s tree, suffering Christ’s
pain in Einstein’s epoch while applying a salve from the East.
Ten poems in this manuscript have been reprinted from print editions to e-zines
or from e-zine to print. The collection has won finalist in several national
competitions yet remains unpublished. Book publishers may contact me for a
more extensive read of the manuscript at RMurphy277@aol.com. They may also
find reprinted poems in Astropoetica .
