Matthew Fogarty’s Comments
Air Raid: I was watching TV in a hotel room and an episode of Pawn Stars came on. Someone was selling a hand-cranked Japanese air raid siren from World War II.
Willow: This was the result of a combination of images: the energy vortexes of Sedona, Arizona, and a grainy image of a girl twirling in a field of flowers and her hair and scarves twirling with her.
Stealing Copper: A year or so ago, I read an article in the Detroit News about a man who was found hanging from a power line in downtown Detroit.
Basically, Ive been obsessed lately with stories involving figures weve mythologizedlike the soldier or the hippie or the random dead guyand that feel almost like déjà vu, like legends thatve already been told. Thats a little of whats going on in these stories.
