Grayson Gogas Comments
I am, at my core, a detrimentally sentimental person, and my writing is almost always born from reflecting on reflections. I found it very difficult not to pathologize these poems. They were worked out in a chapter consumed by seeking a clearly defined set of parameters to lead a pleasant life. Of course, that impossible clarity will never be unearthed, but poetry continues to be my great explorer of life’s gray areas. These five pieces focus on overcoming the past, embracing love, and fearing death. I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my meanderings with you.
